To do these auctions, we need:
1. The abandoned property owner's name and last known address (it's okay if the business address where the property was left is the last known address).
2. The address where the auction will take place.
3. The address where the property was left.
4. A list of what will be auctioned. The valuable items should be listed. If there are a lot of small items, they can be grouped together, i.e., misc. small tools.
The auction must be advertised in a newspaper with a local circulation. We can do that for you.
We suggest that you get advice from your attorney. We are auctioneers, not attorneys. Following the legal procedures will give you a buffer if your former tenant decides to sue you because his property (in his opinion) was worth more than you got for it.
Normally, very few or no other people come to these auctions unless you specifically invite them.
Call us for pricing and timing of auction at (310) 541-4442.
